My goal is that everything I write brings hope.
Sometimes people contact me after reading an article or devotional. “I didn’t know anybody else felt the way I feel.” That’s why I write.
Articles: My publications include Guideposts, Sweet16, Today’s Christian, Today’s Christian Woman, Homelife, Angels on Earth, PLUS (a Guideposts publication), crosswalk.com, sober24.com, urbanministries.com and I’ve contributed devotionals for Daily Guideposts since 2003.
One of my favorite articles to write was "Battling the Devil's Drug." This appeared in Today's Christian. It's the story of how a pastor and his wife won their personal fight against crystal meth. Now they're helping others beat this addiction.
Relationship stories can make fantastic articles. "The Dynamo Next Door" appeared in Today's Christian Woman. It's about how my fearless nextdoor neighbor encouraged me to start writing.
"One of Us" published by Today's Christian, is a story of brokenness and healing--one woman's unlikely path to becoming the resident manager for a homeless shelter.
